We have worked so hard to create a beautiful new street level store to share with you, we can't wait to show you pictures, but in the meantime, here is our press release:
SEATTLE, WA – Alexandria Rossoff, local jewelry historian and purveyor of antique jewels and rare finds, will open the doors of a new street-level store in one of Seattle's most centralized shopping areas. The shop will be located in the Rainier Square complex in downtown Seattle, facing Westward towards the heart of 4th Avenue.
Comprised of a 500 square foot showroom, the location supplements Alexandria's private salon for consultations and custom design in the landmark Fairmont Olympic Hotel. A soft opening is planned for late October of 2015, with celebrations to follow.
For Alexandria, the opening marks a crowning piece in her pursuit to create a fully personalized jewelry experience. While her existing parlor offers a cofortable haven for private transactions, her new brick- and-mortar location will afford passers by the opportunity to discover the treasures she searches the world to find. Having begun her career in 1980, Alexandria has devoted time and care towards perpetuating her knowledge base of antique jewelry and its associated fields. A Graduate Gemologist of the Gemological Institute of America, a Registered Jeweler, Certified Gemologist, and Certified Gemologist Appraiser of the American Gem Society, as well as holding an appraising credential from the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers, Alexandria is rewarded by daily interactions that are congruent with her personal values.
The new location will showcase a vast collection of Eco-Friendly options, specializing in historic antique jewelry and engagement rings from the Georgian, Victorian, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Retro, and Mid- Century eras, as well as hand-picked specialty rare finds. Her offerings, chosen for their individual qualities in design and workmanship, recall a romance from historical times and practices. Steeped in varying traditions, each jewel takes on new life of its own, when its legacy continues with a new collector.
The new 4th Avenue location features modernist design juxtaposed with the whimsy and elegance of Old Hollywood. Floor to ceiling windows and afternoon light beckons you to experience the romantic and architectural atmosphere. Blackened wood and gold cases creates a sculpturally contrasting play on space, while twinkling crystal sconces whisper of the subtle glamor of memory lane.
